We are conservationists fighting to save critically endangered North Atlantic Right Whales from extinction.

Northeast Environmental Groups on the Take

Today a critically-endangered species, the north Atlantic right whale, faces further stress and habitat destruction due to industrial activities off the East Coast. This includes offshore wind, which is slated to be built in important right whale breeding and foraging areas.

One would expect local conservation groups to be fighting a cause like this.

Yet high-profile conservation organizations have spoken out in favor of offshore wind construction in these areas. They claim climate change is the greatest threat to marine life. And they say offshore wind is necessary to stop climate change.

The threat to the whales is more urgent than climate change. Fewer than 350 north Atlantic right whales exist in the world, and they are breeding too slowly. In a few years, they could face extinction.

A recent investigation by long-time environmental activists found that many conservation groups accept millions of dollars in donations from the offshore wind industry.

The public trusts environmental conservation organizations to protect our oceans — but do they still deserve that trust?

The greatest threat to North Atlantic Right Whales comes from an unusual source: environmental groups including Sierra Club, Audubon Society, and National Wildlife Federation

The Save Right Whales Coalition is comprised of nature-lovers on the East Coast of the United States fighting to save the North Atlantic Right whales from extinction, protect the Atlantic ocean from industrialization, and save coastal fisheries for future generations.

We are lifelong nature lovers and conservationists who are speaking out against the threat to critical breeding habitat of the North Atlantic Right Whale along the Atlantic Coast.

We are from New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Connecticut, and other states along the east coast, fighting to stop the threat to the proven habitat of North Atlantic Right Whales

Shocking as it may sound, environmental groups including Sierra Club, Audubon, and National Wildlife Federation are supporting wind farms and taking money from wind energy developer Orsted and natural gas investors

This is a movement of billions. Whether you’re most comfortable contributing time to help achieve our advocacy goals, money to help us grow, or energy to put political pressure on our governments to change, we need you on our team.

“During the 2021 North Atlantic right whale calving season, researchers identified 19 live calves. Only 22 births were observed during the previous four calving seasons combined, which is less than one-third the previous average annual birth rate for right whales.”

Please help us save these magnificent creatures from extinction. We need citizens, scientists, conservationists, whistle-blowers, activists, and troublemakers with the courage to speak out.
